EEG in the practice
An EEG, or electroencephalogram, records the electrical activity of the brain. It can be useful in the assessment of epileptic seizures or other temporary disturbances of consciousness or attention.
An EEG can be performed in the practice. During the test, electrodes are placed on the scalp. The examination is not painful.
Other investigations and treatments
If additional investigations are needed, such as brain imaging or other neurological tests, you will be referred to the hospital or to a specialised service.
